I adore the hues of the changing of the seasons, especially here in the Pacific Northwest! With four distinct seasons we are so blessed to have these significant changes in our lives every year. I am undoubtedly a summer girl, but let me tell you I am slowly changing my mind on that. Our Fall weather has been stunning and I am seeing a trend in weddings here in the northwest favoring the Autumn of days to the latter. The days are a bit shorter, but not much, the nights a bit brisker, leading the way for some fun styling aspects to a wedding I must say. The hues in the sky are warm, still bright, and the colors, oh the colors are astounding, like no other time in the year.
I wanted to shoot a beautiful session on the eve of summer fading to Autumn. I also wanted the river as a backdrop and a more refined styling to the end of the summer sun. Miss Eden from a Garden of Eden Floral’s so beautifully helped to style a gorgeous bouquet and headpiece for my bride and the beautiful centerpieces for my table. I wanted this session to be relaxed and an invitation to enjoy the bounty of the season. Bridget Smith Calligraphy designed and created a beautiful suite for our invites to tie in our papery. All shot on my contax 645 in film, these are the beauties from the day.
